4 Feared Dead in Accident on Achimota-Ofankor Highway (Updated)

Four persons are feared dead in an accident at Taifa Junction on the Achimota-Ofankor Highway.

Several persons, including school children, sustained injuries and have been sent to the 37 Military and Police Hospitals for medical attention.

The accident occurred when a Sprinter Benz bus travelling from Ofankor to Accra, run into the concrete wall of the underpass on the highway.

The dead are all males, including the driver of the bus.

The accident is said to have happened around 6am.

The driver is said to have lost control of the vehicle after one of his tyres burst.
