Accra Stadium Usage: NSA Charges More

The National Sports Authority (NSA), has hinted of a high pricing in the usage of the Accra Sports Stadium. The venue recently saw a renovation for the just ended 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations and has since seen a handing over to the National Sports Authority.

In a statement released by the body, it indicated of a charge of GH¢20,000.00 for friendly matches whiles ceremonial matches, plus events are expected to  attract more payment from management of the stadium.

Meanwhile, Prof. Peter Twumasi has been appointed by President Akufo-Addo, to assume the position of Director-General of NSA.

His appointment to the media was made public via a statement signed by Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah and put out on Wednesday.

The post was being held by Majeed Bawa as the acting head after substantive head, Robert Sarfo Mensah, was suspended in the aftermath of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas documentary.

He was seen in the tape allegedly involved in certain perceived corrupt acts and was punished as a consequence.

The statement added that all governmental procedures will be used to make Prof. Twumasi’s appointment regular in line with the laws of the land.
