Aduana Clash: GFA Charges Kotoko, Boadu and Two Players

Asante Kotoko, Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu and players Hubert Gyau and Seidu Saana have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over incidents from Sunday’s Ghana Premier League match between Kotoko and Aduana FC.

The GFA charged Kotoko after their supporters allegedly threw objects onto the field following the match.

The club has until Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to respond to the charge.

Boadu has also been charged over allegations that he made improper and provocative gestures towards Kotoko supporters after Aduana’s 2-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The coach is alleged to have gestured towards the Kotoko fans and told them to “shut up” after the final whistle. He has also been given until September 30 to respond.

Meanwhile, Gyau and Saana face separate charges over allegations that they acted in an improper and unsporting manner during the pre-match formalities, bringing the game into disrepute.

Both players must respond to their charges by Wednesday.

Aduana secured the important victory through goals from Amankona and Saana, ending Kotoko’s unbeaten start to the season.

The win also marked Aduana’s first victory at the Baba Yara Stadium since 2021, adding further significance to their 2-0 success over the Porcupine Warriors.
