African Referees Filmed Taking Cash

A two-year undercover investigation into football in Africa has revealed footage of over 100 referees and officials taking cash before games.

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi was caught suggesting lucrative deals to undercover journalists posing as “investors” in the film “Number 12”, which was shown Wednesday at a preview attended by diplomats and politicians in the capital Accra.

A Kenyan referee caught on tape receiving a $600 bribe to fix a CHAN match. The celebrated Aden Marwa was set to be at World Cup but has since resigned from his referee role following Anas exposé.
