Ghanaian dance star Afronita, known in private life as Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, has captured the spotlight once again; this time with high praise from the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, pledging to link her with global music icon Beyoncé.
During the CAF Executive Committee meeting held ahead of the African Schools Football Championship finals at the University of Ghana Stadium on April 26th 2025, Afronita performed with her Afrostar Kids Academy and left the audience in awe, including Dr. Motsepe himself.
In a now-viral video on X, the CAF boss described Afronita as “truly outstanding” and compared her to global superstar Beyoncé. He even revealed plans to connect her with Beyoncé’s team, saying, “She is special, she dances so beautifully. I’ve seen many dancers, but Afronita is truly outstanding. I will personally reach out to Beyoncé’s father and tell him she is better.”
They danced to K’nan’s ‘Waving Flag,’ Beyonce’s ‘Run the World,’ Iyanya’s ‘Kukere’ and other afrobeat songs.
Born on November 30, 2003, Afronita is widely admired for her creative Afropop dance style, blending traditional African moves with modern global trends. A professional dancer since age 14, she is the founder of Afrostar Kids Academy, a platform nurturing young dancers across Ghana and beyond.
Afronita is also a student at the University of Ghana, Legon, studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration. Her dance career includes collaborations with artists and brands from around the world, including the UK, France, Dubai, and Nigeria.
She rose to international fame after performing on Britain’s Got Talent alongside dance partner Abigail. Once a member of DWP Academy, she has since gone solo, using her platform to mentor the next generation of African dancers.
Afronita continues to shine as a role model and cultural ambassador, flying the Ghanaian flag high on global stages.
