Ghanaian media personality and tourism ambassador Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has issued a strong warning and even rained curses on social media influencer Prisy Wan, following fraud accusations made by the influencer against Afua and her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum.
In a TikTok video posted on May 14, 2025, Afua condemned Prisy Wan’s behaviour, calling it disrespectful and accusing her of seeking publicity by making false claims.
Afua warned Prisy to leave her husband out of any future disputes, threatening legal action and spiritual consequences if the influencer continued to speak ill of her and her spouse.
“If you want to use your life saving to be battling for your life in court don’t ever mention my name and that of my husband in your career chasing life on TikTok,” Afua said firmly.
She went further to curse Prisy Wan, saying, “I don’t think you’ve been able to keep a relationship, you don’t even know how it feels like to be married… and let me curse you today that you will never find happiness that I have ever had in my marriage till now.”
The heated response came after Prisy Wan accused Afua and her husband of fraud linked to Afua’s failed second attempt to earn a Guinness World Record (GWR) title. Afua expressed disbelief that Prisy would level such serious accusations simply because she did not succeed in breaking the record.
“She has no self-respect as a lady, which is why I didn’t want to respond and give her a platform she is hungrily seeking, how can you call my husband and I fraud? She’s hungry and looking for a career on TikTok, so I’ll let her be,” Afua said.
Afua also dismissed Prisy and other critics as desperate individuals trying to build careers on social media.
“There are several people like her whose current achievements, if represented on a bar chart, wouldn’t come close to mine, yet they sit in front of cameras to defame others,” she added.
Afua urged Prisy to focus on her own life story rather than attacking others, saying, “Enough of this, why can’t you chase clout with your own life story, all those talking ill about others, put their storyline on there, let’s compare, stupid girl.”
However, social media influencer Prisy Wan has rendered an apology and retracted her statement about Afua’s husband, saying, “I want to apologise to Afua Asantewaa’s husband. I am deeply sorry and I retract my statement for you alone, but I am going to address your wife. Afua Asantewaa is no longer a fraudulent person but a dishonest one, and I have something to back it.”
