Agradaa returns to Amasaman court on February 5 for Judgment

The Amasaman High Court has adjourned the appeal hearing of former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to February 5, 2026, for judgment.

Nana Agradaa is appealing against her conviction and sentence, contending that the trial process was unfair and that the evidence presented did not support the verdict.

She is further challenging the 15-year custodial sentence handed down on July 3, 2025, after she was found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence, describing the punishment as excessive.

Speaking to Citi News after proceedings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, explained that the adjournment was necessitated by the Attorney-General’s inability to comply with earlier court directives.

According to him, the delay stemmed from technical challenges associated with electronic evidence required for the appeal.

He noted that the defence team opposed a request by the Attorney-General’s Office for an extension of time.

Following the objection, the court set February 5, 2026, as the date for delivering judgment, while granting the Attorney-General’s Office the option to file written addresses should it deem it necessary.

“The court has adjourned the case to February 5, 2026, to deliver its judgment. By then, the Office of the Attorney-General will have the opportunity to file its written addresses, if it is minded to do so,” he said.
