A delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana, led by its President, Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, to discuss ways of deepening collaboration in healthcare delivery.
The Mission, which operates a network of hospitals and clinics across the country, highlighted the need for support in upgrading its facilities, equipping and improving services to meet the growing health demands of the communities it serves.
Alhaji Maulvi Bin Salih noted that the Mission’s health institutions were originally established to serve deprived areas, but urban growth has now created new challenges that require enhanced infrastructure and partnerships.
Hon. Mintah Akandoh expressed appreciation to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for its decades of service to Ghana’s health sector, describing its contributions as a true example of compassion and community leadership.
He assured the delegation that the Ministry would consider their request for medical equipment and explore practical ways to strengthen existing ties.
He also briefed the delegation on key health initiatives, including the Agenda 111 Project and the soon-to-be-launched Free Primary Health Care policy, which aims to make essential health services more accessible to all Ghanaians.
The group prayed for the Minister, his deputy, and the staff of the Ministry, seeking divine guidance and wisdom in the performance of their duties.
