Akrobeto Survives Deadly Road Accident

Ghanaian actor and television host Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, has survived a ghastly accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 23, 2025, near Konongo in the Ashanti Region while he was travelling to Kumasi.

Speaking in a video shared by UTV on X, the popular media personality expressed his deep gratitude to God for sparing his life and thanked all who showed concern after the crash.

The veteran comedian, who was travelling to Kumasi at the time, described the accident as “fatal.”

He explained that his Toyota SUV was hit by a large truck and dragged for about 30 meters before both vehicles came to a stop.

“The car rammed into mine and dragged me for about 30 meters before the articulator came to a halt for me to also come to a stop. The entire place became crowded in less than five minutes,” Akrobeto said in the video.

Fortunately, both Akrobeto and the passenger he was travelling with came out of the accident without any injuries. He was later taken to Kumasi Hospital for a check-up, where doctors confirmed that he was in good health.

“After looking at my car and myself, the doctor told me, ‘Your God is a big God.’ Nothing bad happened to me,” he said.

The news of the accident caused a wave of concern on social media, with fans of the Real News presenter expressing relief that he was safe. Many used the opportunity to call for increased attention to road safety, especially on long-distance journeys.

Akrobeto, who is well-known for his humorous presentation of headlines on UTV, is currently in good spirits and recovering well. He has not given any further public statements but is said to be resting and thankful.
