Ankaful Nurses Call Off Strike

Nurses at the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital have called off their strike following a meeting with the deputy Minister of Health Tina Mensah and the Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority Dr. Kwesi Osei .

The embattled director, Dr. Eugene Dordoye, according to the minister will hand over in a week paving way for a new director .

The director, he added, will also have his tenure audited to make sure no financial malfeasance is swept under the carpet.

The minister did however not state if the embattled director will be returning to the facility after the period of his training on leadership .

The leadership of the nurses have reportedly expressed satisfaction about the decision of the minister and the outcome of the meeting.

They have therefore called on members to resume duty with immediate effect.
