Asaase Foundation holds charity ball to procure dialysis machines

The Asaase Foundation – established to drive Asaase Radio’s CSR initiatives – on Saturday (26 February) held a charity ball to raise funds to support individuals with kidney diseases.

The programme which was held at the Omanye Hall (Labadi Beach Hotel) was part of efforts by the Asaase Foundation to increase awareness, educate the public about kidney health and raise funds for dialysis machines. The equipment will be donated to selected health facilities in Ghana to treat kidney disease patients.

Individuals from all walks of life including the former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, Reggie Rockstone (musician), political strategist and chairman of Asaase Broadcasting Company (ABC) Ltd, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, members of the diplomatic corps and CEOs of corporate institutions graced the fundraising event.

Some valuable items donated by sponsors, partners, friends and family were auctioned as part of efforts to raise the needed funds for the dialysis machines.
