Aston Villa Great Agbonlahor Backs Semenyo as Premier League’s Best

Aston Villa legend Gabriel Agbonlahor has praised Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, saying the AFC Bournemouth star would start for every Premier League team this season.

Agbonlahor, who has openly shown admiration for Semenyo, described him as the best left winger in the Premier League at the moment.

Reacting to reports that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are both interested in signing the Ghanaian, Agbonlahor said it would be a smart move for either club. He added that Semenyo is good enough to play for top sides like Arsenal and Manchester City.

“I look at the league table, and name me a team he doesn’t start for on that left-hand side. Name one,” Agbonlahor said. “He’s better than [Man City’s Jérémy] Doku. He starts for Arsenal if [Eberechi] Eze plays in that number 10 position.”

Agbonlahor went on to compare Semenyo with other top players, saying,

“[He’s] better than [Gabriel] Martinelli and [Leandro] Trossard. Better than [Cody] Gakpo [at Liverpool]. Starts for Spurs.”

Semenyo has been in impressive form this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in eight games for Bournemouth.

His strong performances have attracted attention from several top clubs across England.
