Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric says new signing Kamaldeen Sulemana is not yet a complete player but has shown signs of great potential.
The Ghanaian winger joined the Italian Serie A club earlier in July on a four-year contract, with an option to extend for one more year. He moved from English side Southampton in a deal that could reach £18 million.
Sulemana, 23, is reuniting with Juric, who previously worked with him during his time at Southampton. He has already made his first appearance for Atalanta in a pre-season match against the club’s U-23 side.
Speaking after the game, Juric said, “Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots. In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow.”
Atalanta will begin their 2025/26 Serie A campaign at home against Pisa on August 24.
