Atinka Media Village Unveils ”Kronkron”, A Band Reality Show

Atinka Media Village, producers of the award-winning “DiAsa” dance reality show, has launched yet another exciting reality show dubbed, “Kronkron” on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the forecourt of Atinka Media Village.

Kronkron,according to organsers will bring together bands to contest in a live worship competition. The show is designed to bring together the very best together to network, share ideas and worship God in a conducive environment.

The event which was launched on the aim to reveal the ”truths about God’s worship” saw many dignitaries in the music and entertainment Industry at large in attendance.

   

   

Notable among those present at the launch were President of Ghana Journalists Association, Mr Affail Monney, Apostle John Osei Amaniampong and many other dignitaries.

Managing Director of Atinka Media Village, Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour used the opportunity to explain the rationale behind the reality contest and expressed his gratitude to the Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group, Elder Samuel Amo Tobbin, who according to him is the brain behind Kronkron big band reality show.

  

He noted that, the Kronkron Big Band will excel and become the most viewed show on TV like Di Asa, the dance reality show which took the nation by storm.

”There is therefore, no doubt that this new reality show will excel by becoming the most viewed television show in the country. We can do it because we have the track record, which is Di Asa,”- he said.

He used the occasion to call on prospective sponsors to come on board and support Kronkron.

  

The La Area Head of The Church of Pentecost who chaired the occasion,  Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour said there are a lot talents in the gospel scene and he believes that the reality contest will encourage contestants to work hard towards achieving heights in the music Industry.

He added that “Arts and Culture is the catalyst for growth in every country all over the world. If we make a mistake of not promoting the music industry, then the nation has no future”.

  

The Kronkron reality show will award a set of musical instruments plus a GHS10,000 cash prize, a GHS10,000 cash and a GHS5,000 cash prize to the first, second and third placed winners respectively.

The fourth to eighth winners will receive GHS2,000 cedis cash price each.

     

Gospel stars, Brother Sammy, Kwabena Dankwa, Hannah Marfo and many others electrified the atmosphere with some of their greatest hits.

Voting will, however, be based on 60% Public votes and 40% by Judges. The Reality Show has so far receives 55 applicants which starts from the 4th of November through to January ending next year.
