Bantama MP Jabs Mahama Over ‘Ghost Roads’

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama Constituency, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, has opined that former president John Dramani Mahama, could best be remembered for constructing non-existing roads, also known as ‘Ghost Roads’.

According to him, former president Mahama caused a stir by claiming glory for several road projects across the country during his tenure in office, but the roads proved to be non-existent.

“This is a president who is best remembered by Ghanaians for lying that he had constructed several road projects, but in reality, Mr. Mahama’s claims were just blatant lies”, the Bantama lawmaker disclosed.

Hon. Aboagye further said massive corruption, which was rampant across all sectors of government during the NDC regime, is also one of the legacies of Mr. Mahama.

He noted that all the things that Ghanaians could remember Mr. Mahama for were not pleasant, saying that “the former president can also be remembered for presiding over a government that dumped Ghana into power crisis, aka ‘Dumsor’.

Speaking on Hello FM, the Bantama MP recounted that Ghanaians suffered massively under what he described as Mahama’s non-performing administration, adding that the NDC did not have the expertise to properly manage the affairs of the country.

He prayed that the NDC would stay out of government for a long time, as in his view,  the country would suffer major setbacks, in the area of development, if the NDC returns to political power anytime soon.
