BECE: Don’t Cheat – First Lady

First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has advised final-year students of Junior High Schools across the country, sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to desist from examination malpractices.

In a goodwill message to the candidates, Mrs Akufo-Addo encouraged parents and guardians not to distract the children, as they get ready to sit for the exams.

She further encouraged the candidates to stay calm and to believe in themselves.

The message posted on Facebook read: “From the 4th of June, our future leaders will write their first major exams, the BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE EXAM (B.E.C.E).

“We all know the importance of this, as it is the only means of qualifying to gain admission to secondary school. I encourage parents and guardians to eliminate distractions for our children, as they get ready to sit the exams

“To our precious children, please stay calm and believe in yourself and most importantly do not engage in any malpractice. I wish you the very best and humbly ask God to guide you through the week as you prepare. Do finish your exams successfully with the best results. May God continue to bless you all.”

This year’s BECE begins from 4 to 8 June 2018.
