Beware! Signs Of Child Experiencing Allergic Reactions

With the advancement of technology and improvement of living standards, parenting has become a bit easier. Motherhood, can, however, become a taunting task for first time mothers.

So, how do you tell if your infant is experiencing some allergic reaction to some foods?

When a child has a food allergy, their immune system overreacts, producing antibodies to the food as if it were a virus or other dangerous foreign invader. This immune reaction is what produces allergy symptoms.

According to medical reports, the following are the most common food allergy triggers in kids; peanuts and tree nuts (walnuts, almonds, cashews, and pistachios), cow’s milk, eggs, fish and shellfish (shrimp, lobster), soy and even wheat.

Doctors advice that when it comes to food allergies, watch out for it can affect your child’s breathing, intestinal tract, heart, and skin.

As food allergies become more and more common, it’s helpful for every parent and caregiver to be able to recognize the signs.

The following are some of the symptoms that have been closely linked to allergic reactions in Kids;

Diarrhea

Dizziness, lightheadedness

Itching around the mouth or ears

Nausea

Red, itchy bumps on the skin (hives)

Red, itchy rash (eczema)

Shortness of breath, trouble breathing

Sneezing

Stomach pain

Strange taste in the mouth

Swelling of the lips, tongue, and/or face

Vomiting

Wheezing
