Bimoktey writes: Alan Kyerematen presents a different puzzle altogether in 2024

There hasn’t been any political party that has broken the 8 years cycle of leadership since the 1992 constitutional right to Elections stood in the face of Ghana’s democracy.

Interestingly, the NPP party is trying to break the 8 years cycle of its political leadership. There are many significant factors to consider in her quest to set this record. Now, who will best suit the NPP party in this whole contest? What makes such a person better than others in breaking the “8”?

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is the personality that has what it takes to bring the NPP party’s dream to reality.
Below are the reasons for such an assertion, based on Dr. Etse Sikanku’s analysis.

ALAN A “CHANGE” CANDIDATE :

First and foremost, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten is a “CHANGE” candidate.
Election 2024 is not going to be a continuation of political power for the NPP nor will it be for the NDC.
John Mahama may choose to ride on his previous ambitions since he is praying for the second half of the 8-year democratic mandate.

But for the NPP; needs a different set of leadership with new aspirations and visions. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen presents such charisma. He’s goal-driven and result-oriented which will suit the demand and preferences of Ghanaians.

In addition; Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is not a central player in the current NPP government and can therefore present a different ball game altogether for the NPP. He is a new face with a new way of doing things. It has always been on record that; Former President Mahama, Late Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Late Mr. Amissah Arthur, and late former president Mills although served their turns as Vice presidents of the republic, were not key and popular in their reigns as in the contemporary.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is not a central player in the current NPP government and can therefore present himself as the new era of NPP to Ghanaians in 2024.

ALAN IS PROPAGANDA PROOF:

Furthermore, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is propaganda proof. Anytime Mahama is mentioned, Ghanaians have tags such as ford expedition, Guinea fowls, Bus branding saga, Dumsor, the embargo on employment, and to mention but a few to discredit him.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, like Former President Kufour, late President Mills, and President Akufo Addo were propaganda proof as new candidates for their respective political parties.

There was certainly less many could say against them.
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is therefore propaganda proof and will give the NPP the best case to make to convince Ghanaians since the NDC can certainly not say anything odd against him.

THE ASHANTI FACTOR (STRONGHOLD):

Last but not least, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is an Ashanti and for that matter the power bank of the NPP party’s votes. The Akan factor in NPP’s victory seriously revolves around Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and is a serious proponent of amassing votes for the elephant party as far as the NPP party is concerned.

If breaking the “8” is truly the heartbeat of the NPP party; then Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen with the Akan background and from the stronghold of the NPP will necessitate a free flow of massive votes to secure victory from the heart of the party.

Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten’s interest in the NPP party’s 2024 Flagbearer bid is a golden case, pregnant with all the available necessary proponents such as;

(I) Being a “CHANGE” candidate
(II) Not a central player where the few odds of the current government can be leveled against him
(III) Propaganda Proof
(IV) Represents the heart of the NPP party (Ashanti Region).
