Despite Black Sherif’s rise to the top of music charts, Prophet Fire Oja maintains that his earlier prediction about the rapper’s career was divinely inspired and is now unfolding before the public eye.
On December 31, 2024, during a watch night service, Prophet Fire Oja told his congregation that he had received a revelation about one of Ghana’s hottest artists, Black Sherif.
According to him, the vision showed that the young musician would soon lose his ability to produce hit songs. He claimed that forces within the music industry were working against the artist, which would eventually cause his career to decline.
Months later, however, the reality appeared to be the opposite. Black Sherif released a hit single and followed it up with an album titled Iron Boy. The project quickly became a sensation, with multiple tracks dominating streaming charts and resonating with fans across Ghana and beyond. For many, this was proof that the prophecy had failed.
But in an interview with Onua FM on August 8, 2025, Prophet Fire Oja pushed back against that perception. He explained that this situation was a prime example of why some prophets choose to keep certain revelations private.
According to him, when prophecies do not seem to happen immediately, especially those involving popular figures, the public, particularly young people, tend to mock and disrespect the prophetic ministry.
“The reason some preachers avoid discussing certain prophecies is that, if there were an imminent incident they could intercede for, many Ghanaians, especially the youth, do not respect prophetic ministry. They tend to disrespect you without hesitation,” he said.
The prophet insisted that his words about Black Sherif had not changed. He argued that the prophecy was “still hanging in the air” and that a time would come when the musician would struggle to remain relevant. He claimed he had even advised the singer to seek spiritual covering from “powerful men of God” if he wanted to maintain his fame.
“Something will happen to his career, leading to a point where he will be unheard of,” Fire Oja warned.
