Blogger Kobby Kyei apologizes to Shatta Wale, Despite Group, Others

Ghanaian blogger, Augustus Koranteng Kyei popularly known as Kobby Kyei has apologized to despite group of company, Dancehall Musician Shatta Wale, Okay FM and Abeiku Santana.

His apology comes after Abeiku Santana on his Drive Time show decided to call Shatta Wale with regards to his father’s birthday which was on Friday, 26th April 2019.

Kobby Kyei who was part of the panelist of the show was given the chance to asked the Dancehall king any question which didn’t go well and further angered the SM boss.

Kobby Kyei in his question quizzed why the youth have turned to ‘smoking’ because they see him in his videos smoking and that isn’t he(Shatta Wale) affecting the youth negatively.

Shatta Wale who got peeved at the line of question responded by saying that he has not in any way educated his fans to indulge in smoking habits and that the question asked him was inappropriate and misplaced since it’s his father’s birthday.

The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker expressed his sentiments at the blogger describing the question as a negative one.

However just after the Show, Kobby Kyei in a statement expressed sorry for any harm caused in his question. According to him, it was never the intention to create harm or drag any person’s name to disrepute.

”I say a special sorry to Shatta Wale, Despite group, Okay Fm, Abeiku Santana and any other person who my comments didn’t go down well with. It was never my intention to drag anybody’s name or brand to disrepute. I know it was a mistake and I take full responsibility for that” he indicated in a statement.

I am by this communique expressing my sincere regrets and apologies to everybody who is offended by the question. l asked Shatta Wale during Okay FM’S drive time program today, 26th April, 2019.

I say a special sorry to Shatta Wale, Despite group, Okay Fm, Abeiku Santana and any other person who my
comments didn’t go down well with. It is never my intention to drag anybody’s name or brand into disrepute. I know it was a mistake and I take full responsibility for that.

As the saying goes, “to err is human but to forgive is divine” and our elders also say that “it is only a fool who does not change his mind”.I want and plead with you all to find a special place in your heart to forgive me. God bless you all and let keep polishing till we shine.
