Boy 18, Stabbed To Death Over A Girl

AN 18-YEAR-OLD boy has been stabbed to death following a hot debate over an amorous relationship, in Kumasi.

The deceased, identified as Kyei Baffuor, was reportedly, stabbed in the abdomen by his killer, whose real identity is unknown.

After committing the heinous crime, the suspect tried to escape from arrest, so hired a taxi and fled from the crime scene.

But in the course of the journey, the taxi driver spotted fresh blood on the hands of the suspect so he (driver) gave the suspect to the police.

The body of the deceased had since been deposited at the morgue, awaiting autopsy to determine what killed him.

The shocking incident happened at Agric Nzema, a suburb in the Nhyiaeso Constituency in the Ashanti region on Thursday.

The suspect was said to have an amoral relationship with the sister of Bafuor― a relationship which Bafuor did not support.

Sources said around 9am on Thursday, a hot debate ensued between Baffuor and the suspect over the said relationship.

In the course of the hot debate, the suspect was said to have pulled out a sharp knife, which he used to stab Baffuor in the stomach.

After being stabbed, Baffuor tried to move, perhaps to retaliate, but he became unconscious and fell heavily on the ground.

Some people at the scene rushed to his aid by conveying him to the hospital for treatment, but he was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect then quickly hired a taxi cab and fled the scene but the driver spotted blood on his hands whilst on their way.

The driver therefore parked the car at a police check point at Agric Junction and alerted the police to arrest the suspect, who quickly confessed to his act.
