Ghanaian music star Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has spoken out about ongoing rumors regarding her son Aaron Adepa Amoah’s father.
Earlier this year, some people speculated that the late musician Castro, who disappeared in 2014, was the child’s father. However, Mzbel has strongly denied these claims.
In an interview with Max TV, the 16 Years hitmaker cleared the air, saying she had not seen Castro since 2013. According to her, that was the last time they met, along with other Ghanaian musicians, to record a tribute song for the late Ronnie Coaches, a member of Buk Bak who died from a heart attack.
“The last time I saw Castro was when Ronnie Coaches died, and we recorded a tribute song. After that, I never saw him again. I gave birth to Adepa six years after my friendship with Castro and other colleagues ended. Castro was alive when Adepa was born,” she stated.
Mzbel said she does not understand why people keep spreading false rumors about her son’s paternity. She questioned why social media users were so eager to link Castro to her child when they had no proof.
“Why are people forcing me to reveal my child’s father? Those who put their relationships on social media, it never ended well for them,” she said.
She made it clear that her son’s real father is not a topic for public discussion. She also revealed that Aaron Adepa Amoah, also called Komfo Black, has a strong relationship with his biological father. However, she has no plans to ever reveal his identity to the public.
Mzbel emphasized that the people who truly matter already know the truth, and she does not owe any explanation to strangers. For her, the rumors and public opinion do not change the facts.
With this strong statement, Mzbel has set the record straight. She remains firm in her decision to keep her private life away from public scrutiny.
