CHIEF IMAM SUPPORTS K’SI PRISONERS
THE CHIEF Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has solved the perennial water problem at the Kumasi Central Prisons.
The respected-Muslim Cleric commissioned a bore hole project at the Kumasi Central Prisons on Saturday morning.
The programme was attended by scores of Muslims, Imams and some top prisons personnel, who were all beaming with smiles.
Sheikh Osman Sharubutu said it is his hope that the bore hole project would bring to an end the water challenges at the facility.
He also entreated the public to offer the needed support, both in cash and kind to inmates of prisons across the country.
The Kumasi Central Prisons has faced water challenges for some time now and this compelled authorities to appeal for support.
The Ashanti Regional Prisons Commander, Mr. DDP Samuel Owusu Amposa, personally appeal for support from the Chief Imam.
One Alhaji Inusah Salley, an Accra-based business tycoon, who is a staunch Muslim, therefore decided to construct the borehole with polytanks.
