Citi FM’s ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ Slated For Dec. 24

All is set for the 2018 edition of the annual ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ (D2R) music concert organised by Citi 97.3 FM, and Accra is gradually warming up for the programme slated for Monday, December 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The concert has, for the past 14 years, etched a place on the nation’s entertainment calendar as the official Christmas party for music lovers in the country and across.

Over the years, the ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ concert has brought together the nation’s chart-topping artistes to thrill fans to amazing performances.

“We are planning to give patrons a complete entertainment experience unlike any other. Decemba 2 Rememba 2018 will involve elements that transcend just the music and performances. It will be the event the nation will be talking about for months to come,” the organisers stated.

Ghana’s top performing artistes such as Stonebwoy, Adina, Ponobiom, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Tic, Ponobiom, Wendy Shay, Sister Derby, Article Wan, among others, will perform at this year’s event.

The headline artiste (Stonebwoy) and his colleagues are expected to set the auditorium on fire with their back-to-back hits.

Attendees of D2R 2018 are, thus, being advised to put on their dancing shoes and prepare to do the dance themselves while witnessing all the various forms and styles of the famed dance on display.

This year’s event has seen a  partnership agreement with Ghana’s selling telecommunication Vodafone Ghana.

Vodafone said it sees its association with the concert this year as an alignment with a long held ethos of contributing significantly to the music and entertainment industry in the country.

The External Affairs Director at Vodafone Ghana, Gayheart Mensah, in a statement said, “Our partnership with this concert reflects our unwavering commitment to embed musical excellence in the country and help develop a sustainable industry”.

According to him, Decemba 2 Rememba’ is a celebrated platform “and we are excited that it will provide another avenue to demonstrate our commitment to the music industry.”

He added, “We have also outlined a lot of activities we are undertaking as part of the partnership to give our customers unmatched experience. We are certainly looking forward to it.”

According to Organizers, Gates for this year’s event will open at 8:00 pm with white top and jeans as dress code. The musical concert is organised by Citi FM and Citi TV and sponsored by Vodafone.
