Common Fund Opens Ultramodern Office

The District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) has inaugurated its newly constructed four-story ultramodern building with state-of-the-art equipment.

The magnificent building, which was designed and constructed by a Ghanaian contractor, FLEX CON, was officially opened by the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama on Tuesday.

It has adequate office space for all DACF staff and a gymnasium to keep the workers fit to do their continuous monitoring of projects in all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDCEs) across the country.

Inaugurating the edifice, Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Hajia Alima Mahama entreated DACF workers to take good care of the facility to ensure that scarce resources are not used for its renovation.
She commended the staff of the Common Fund for supporting their management to put up the magnificent building and urged them to continuously work hard to achieve their set objectives.

The DACF Administrator, Irene Naa Torshie-Lartey also acknowledged the effort of her predecessors, the Ghanaian contractor and the workers in putting up the facility.

She called for their continued support to deliver on the mandate of the Common Fund.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government and Rural Development, Ministers of State and friends of the DACF.
