Confusion Over Ebony… Rev. Owusu Bempah Vs. Bullet

Ghana’s late musician, Ebony Reigns, had a thriving career that generated never ending controversies and her untimely death seems to have generated more hullabaloo than those her career ever sparked.

Even before dust settles on the debate of whether the car crash in which Ebony died was caused by sheer negligence or it had some supernatural and mystical manipulations, another intriguing controversy has emerged on whether or not the late music star had a car of her own.

Her management is claiming Ebony had a car of her own and that the car in which she died was hers. They claim aside the car in which she died, they made available for her different cars at different times and that sometimes she moved with as many as 12 vehicles all from their team.

Interestingly, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah of the Glorious Word Ministry is also telling the world that it was his cars Ebony used for her travels and that he has several living witnesses that can confirm this.

In the midst of these two unsettled controversies, there is yet another debate and disagreement over which pastors or spiritualists were actually praying for her to avert the supposed prophesy of short life on her.

Again while Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah is claiming the late musician visited him often for prayer to avert the tragedy, her manager, Bullet of RuffN’Smooth   fame has said Owusu Bempah was not one of the pastors that they went to for prayers regarding her life.

Speaking on the car debate, Bullet, on Monday disclosed on Okay FM that Ebony had her own car. He said though the management team made several cars available to the artiste for her use, the vehicle in which she died was actually her personal car.

Surprisingly, Abeiku Santana, the very journalist interviewing Bullet on Okay FM, had a few days earlier told CITI FM that Ebony the car in which Ebony died did not belong to her.

Abeiku Santana spoke to Citi FM in his capacity as a member of Ebony’s management: “I do not know any driver; the car doesn’t belong to her… but I know the other lady who is a friend and a member of the team as well. I do not even know the military officer as well…As far as I know as a member of the team, about two days ago, Bullet of Rough and Smooth fame discussed with me a proposal that Ebony had brought to get her a car which we were considering”, Citifmonline.com quoted Abeiku Santana to have told Citi Eye Witness News.

Rev. Owusu Bempah, on the other hand, is insisting Ebony came for a car from him each time she travelled: “The person I let drive Ebony anytime she wants to travel is called Mr. Kwesi Otchere. He is not dead. He can speak and confirm what I am saying and I have even sent his contact details to your producer.

“Maybe her manager does not know about these things that happened between Ebony and I. There was a time Ebony told me that she was going to Sweduro for a program and that she needed a Four-Wheel drive. I called Mr. Otchere and asked him to drive her there himself. I pleaded with him not to let any of his workers drive her but he himself should drive her and not go beyond 100 kilometers per hour… Ebony has come for a car from me, not once, not twice, not thrice but several times”, Rev. Owusu Bempah told Okay FM.

He continued: “Kwame Amu of Okay FM, Abeiku Santana of Okay FM are all my witnesses that I had told them Ebony has a short life. I called Abeiku Santana and told him and asked him to get the girl to me.  I also told Kwame Amu that Ebony has a short life and that she would die through road accident and that her death would be tragic and shocking. I am the senior pastor of Kwame Amu’s church. I can’t tell such a lie and mention him as witness.

“When Ebony came to my house, I first gave her a bible after I had served her with water. We spoke on several subjects, most of which I cannot make public.

“If it is true Ebony had indeed told her management that there had been a prophesy on her life that that she would meet this particular management team, they would make her big and she should die at the peak of her career, why did the management not go look for the Prophetess that told Ebony those revelations. At least two had come to pass so they should have known the third was on its way. “I have been praying for her soul that God should accept her. She is already dead”, Owusu Bempah stated.
