COP Honors Council Of State Member

The Church of Pentecost, Teshie Nungua Area has honored Mrs. Eunice Jacqueline Asomah Hinneh, a Council of State member.

An ultra-modern church building at Sakumono, formally Glory Temple, was yesterday renamed Sophia Cudjoe Temple, after the mother of the Council of State member.

Speaking at the renaming ceremony, the Teshie Nungua Area Head, Prophet James Osei Amaniampong explained that Mrs. Eunice Asomah Hinneh has played several roles in ensuring the growth of the church in the district, hence the reason to rename the church after her mother.

Recounting her immense contribution to the church, Prophet Amaniampong said “Madam Eunice has helped the church in so many ways. She has employed a lot of church members in her company and also financed a lot of church projects in the area as well as the district.”

She is known in the church for her kind gestures, and also using her resources to help the needy in the church.

Giving his sermon during the renaming ceremony, Apostle Gyambibi Boateng called on all Christians to be loyal to the church.

Centering his message on Matthew 16:18-19, he said “the church belongs to Jesus. No one on this earth owns a church. When you support the church you become a partner of God.”

Mrs. Eunice Asomah Hinneh was elected Council of State member and sworn-in by President Akufo-Addo last year.

She is a Deaconess and worships at the Sophia Cudjoe Temple. Her late mother was also a member of the church before her demise.
