CSA Crackdown 39 Suspects In Tema

A joint operation by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has led to the arrest of 39 individuals at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, marking a significant crackdown on cybercrime networks.

The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Thursday, August 21, 2025, following intelligence-led surveillance. Among those arrested were three (suspected) minors.

The operation targeted a suspected cyber fraud hub believed to be operating within the residential enclave. The raid was carried out with heavy security, and digital devices, laptops, and other materials were seized for forensic analysis.

All 39 individuals are currently in police custody and will be processed for court.

Among those arrested were three minors and a woman believed to be an escort linked to one of the prime suspects.

According to the source, investigators are expected to analyse the seized materials to build cases against the suspects.

The clampdown forms part of a wider national strategy to combat online fraud, financial scams, and related cyber-enabled crimes that continue to affect individuals and institutions across Ghana.

The Authority also urged the public to remain cautious of suspicious online offers and digital transactions.

The CID, meanwhile, has assured that due process will be observed, especially in handling the minors caught in the swoop.
