My Curves Are Natural – Wendy Shay Denies BBL Claims

Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has firmly denied rumours of undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), stating that her curves are “100% natural.

In a bold post on her X (formerly Twitter) page on July 10, 2025, the “Too Late” hitmaker made it clear that her body is completely natural.

Wendy expressed disappointment over people claiming her curves are the result of a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

“So y’all want to tell me before BBL Africans didn’t have a natural shape like mine? What’s with this BBL tag. Is it because I have gained at the right places? Y’all should get a life and stop being naive,” she wrote.

Wendy explained that her figure changed simply because she has gained weight in the “right places,” and not because of any cosmetic procedure. She questioned why society is quick to assume that every curvy African woman must have had surgery.

“What you are seeing is 100% natural and it is not my fault y’all didn’t realise it earlier because of the bullying when I stepped in the game,” she added.

Wendy also recalled being body-shamed at the beginning of her career, which she believes made people overlook her natural figure back then. Now that she feels more confident in her body, some are unfairly linking her appearance to plastic surgery.

“I’ve got it since! Clearly, humans will always have something to say. It’s either your booty is too big, too small, or too fake. Mind your business! Africa, Wake Up!” she continued.

Her powerful response has sparked wide conversation online, with fans applauding her confidence and boldness.

By addressing the issue head-on, Wendy Shay is not only defending herself but also standing up for natural African beauty and calling out body-shaming in the industry.
