Deputy Eastern Regional Minister Refutes Resignation Claims

The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Joseph Tetteh has described a purported resignation letter which has gone viral on various social media platforms as fake.

According to the letter, Mr. Tetteh was reported to have resigned from duty citing the recent dismissal of the Minister for Energy, Boakye Agyarko as the key reason for his decision to quit the Nana Akufo-Addo led government.

Portions of the said letter dated 8th August 2018, gave the reason as “due to the current happenings in your government, especially the dismissal of my senior brother and colleague, Hon. Boakye Agyarko who has been a strong pillar in the Krobo bloc and whose support led to the annexing of the seat from the NDC in the Upper Manya Krobo Constituency, ”

It  went further to thank the president for the opportunity to offered him to serve in his government.

After several calls by MyNewsGh.com to the Deputy Minister, he finally got back and denied being the originator of the letter suspecting that some persons are trying to use it in order to cause mischief.
