Don’t change a winning team – Sammi Awuku

NATIONAL ORGANIZER of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr.Sammi Awuku, has urged Ghanaians to retain the NPP government in political office in 2020.

He described the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration as a ‘winning team’ and stressed the need for the party to be retained in power for a long time.

According to him, the country had experienced massive transformation in all sectors ever since the party captured political power two-and-half-years ago, and therefore cautioned that it would not augur well for the nation if such a development-oriented government is changed.

“We don’t change a winning team. The President Nana Akufo-Addo government is on the right track and that has led to massive growth in every sector of the country.

“Ghanaians should therefore not even think of changing a winning team. We need to sustain our growth as a country and only the NPP government can ensure that”.

Mr. Awuku, who was addressing some NPP organizers and supporters recently, described the National Democratic Congress’ John Dramani Mahama ‘come back dream’ as very scary”.

According to him, ex-President Mahama mismanaged the affairs of the state and plunged Ghana into economic hardship, and is thus not fit to become president again.
