Dorcas Baidu Foundation Donates to Korle Bu Fire Victims

The Dorcas Baidu Foundation has once again demonstrated compassion by paying medical bills worth GH¢24,000 for five burn patients at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Burns Centre, as part of its annual charity initiative.

The donation, made on December 27, 2025, reflects the foundation’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable people in society.

The payment followed a successful fundraising effort organised through the foundation’s yearly charity musical concert dubbed “November to Remember.” The event is held every year to raise funds to help burn victims who are unable to pay for their medical care at the Korle Bu Burns Centre.

The 2025 edition of November to Remember took place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Church of Pentecost, Nii Boiman Central Auditorium at Abeka-Lapaz. The programme brought together church members, music lovers, volunteers, media teams, and supporters who shared a common goal of supporting victims of fire accidents.

The charity musical concert featured performances from well-known gospel artistes and groups, including Uncle Ato, Jacob Narh, PENSA Flames, and Dorcas De-Graft Baidu herself. Through music, prayers, and fundraising, the event aimed at creating awareness and raising funds to cover hospital bills for patients at the burns centre.

In a message of appreciation after the event, the Dorcas Baidu Foundation thanked everyone who contributed to making November to Remember 2025 a success. The foundation expressed gratitude to the Church of Pentecost – Nii Boiman District for the collaboration, as well as guest artistes, ministers, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and media teams who supported the programme.

According to the foundation, the generous contributions made during the concert made it possible to bring relief and hope to fire victims who urgently needed financial support for their treatment. The GH¢24,000 donation has gone directly into settling the medical bills of five patients at the Korle Bu Burns Centre, easing their burden and that of their families.
