e. TV Ghana Launches 2018 ‘Made In Ghana Month’

e.TV Ghana, your world of quality entertainment, has launched the 6th Edition of Made in Ghana Month to promote and celebrate Ghanaian made goods and services in all industries.

This year’s edition dubbed ‘Living healthy the Ghanaian way’ is meant to celebrate indigenous local foods and local health treatments in Ghana.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ernest Boateng, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance Group said that every year, e. TV Ghana dedicates the month of September to promote and project Ghanaian products and services.

“e. TV Ghana has always been passionate about celebrating Made in Ghana products.  This annual celebration by e. TV Ghana has over the years been accepted as the official period for celebrating great indigenous goods and services in the country,” Mr. Boateng stated.

He added that the month of September is going to be packed with activities ranging from indigenous cooking competitions and health screening exercises among others.

“Local culture is not just about showing pride, it also has socioeconomic implications so I encourage all viewers to patronize the e. TV Made in Ghana celebrations.”

“There will be a series of on-air activations with TV shows, radio and interviews on e. TV Ghana , YFM and Happy FM  starting from 1st to 30th September. On September 14, 2018, there will be free health screening. There will also be cooking competitions with one happening at the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle on September 29, 2018,” he added

He disclosed that there will also be various local games like Oware , Ludu, Dame and Ampe among others  being played  at the cooking competition.

“This event will also provide a good opportunity for people to showcase their locally produced products and services,” he said.

On her part, Madam Jenny Adade, CEO of Hospitality Tourism & Catering Training Institute (HOTCATT) commended e. TV Ghana for a great initiative that will promote Ghana to the rest of the world.

She hinted that as part of the activities lined up by her outfit, HOTCAT plans to teach expatriates and foreigners how to cook Ghanaian cuisines.

“I am really excited to be part of e. TV Ghana’s Made in Ghana (wear Ghana, eat Ghana ) event . For our eat Ghana, we are going to be teaching expatriates and foreigner how to cook Ghanaian cuisines.

“We are going to do this fusing the international way and in a local way. So we are working together with the Ghanaian Chefs Association and some other associations to put this together,” she disclosed.

She noted that HOTCAT will be working together with the  Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to be training  Tour Guides who will help direct foreigners who come into Ghana about where to go and what they will see at such locations.

“We will also going to do see Ghana which is more about tourism. We will teach people about what they can see and how they are going to see it when they come to Ghana. Wear Ghana is more about what our traditional clothing is about , why we wear different cloths on different occasions. HOTCAT is coming back and it is going to be a new chapter,” she said.

It can be recalled that in 2017, the Minister for Information, Mustapha Hamid, commended e. TV Ghana for its innovative and patriotic initiative to celebrate goods and services made right here in Ghana.

Mustapha Hamid, who spoke during official opening of the e.TV Made in Ghana Month exhibition last year , said the e. TV Made in Ghana Month celebration is a power and patriotic way of educating Ghanaians to be who they are meant to be.
