Artiste manager and CEO of Ruff Town Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, also known as Bullet, has revealed that Wendy Shay generates more physical revenue, than the late Ebony Reigns, who, according to him, gave him priceless exposure but little tangible money.
Speaking on UTV’s Atuu with Nana Romeo on March 7, 2026, Bullet explained that both artistes played different but equally significant roles in his career.
He revealed that Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, gave him exposure and visibility, elevating his work to a level that could not be measured in monetary terms.
“It’s the two of them, because my work with Ebony took me to a level that money cannot buy. It’s priceless,” he said.
Despite the invaluable exposure Ebony brought, Bullet admitted that managing her came with serious financial challenges.
He disclosed that he is still paying off debts he took to promote her.
“They have no idea what I went through, but because she was all over, they thought things were smooth. I’m still paying debt till now. I’ve invested a lot of money in her before she was able to get her fame. I took a loan from people just to promote her, but I doubt if people know this,” he explained.
Bullet also addressed accusations that emerged after Ebony’s death, which suggested he misused her funds.
“When she was alive, we didn’t make streams. We were not even earning much from the shows we were playing. When she died, a lot of things were said. They wanted to paint a picture that I was misusing her funds. Which money exactly are they talking about?” he questioned.
He went further to debunk claims of disputes with Ebony’s father over the late singer’s alleged properties.
“They were even saying I was fighting with Ebony’s dad over her properties. Which artiste in Ghana here have acquired properties in two years?” he remarked.
On the other hand, Bullet noted that in terms of tangible revenue, Wendy Shay has been the one to generate cash flow.
“But liquid money, physical cash, I’d say Wendy Shay,” he said.
The Ruff Town Records CEO emphasized that while Ebony’s contribution was priceless and pivotal in shaping his career, Wendy Shay has been the main generator of physical income, showing how both artistes uniquely shaped the label’s success.
