Emmanuel Tagoe fights Keyshawn Davis in April

Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe has agreed to a lightweight division fight against highly rated American prospect Keyshawn Davis.

The bout is expected to take place on April 8 in Newark, New Jersey on the under card of the Shakur Stevenson v Shuichiro Yoshino bout according to boxing writer Mike Coppinger.

The upcoming fight is scheduled for 12 rounds and pits veteran Tagoe against one of boxing’s fast rising prospects. 34 year old Tagoe has 32 wins and two losses in his professional career.

Nicknamed “The Businessman”, Davis won silver at the 2020 Olympics in London and has won all seven of his professional bouts with five of those wins coming via knockouts.

Davis scored a technical knockout win over veteran Jose Pedraza earlier this year in his first piece of action inside the ring.

Fighting 25 year old Davis would be Tagoe’s first since getting dominated by Ryan Garcia on April 9, 2022 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Tagoe offered little resistance to Garcia’s onslaught with the fight ending in a knockout win for Garcia in the second round.
