Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Hajer FC ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Hajer announced the signing of the 24-year-old Ghanaian forward on Friday, August 14, 2026. Amoah will play for the club in the Saudi First Division League, also known as the Yelo League.
Amoah joins Hajer after making a name for himself as one of the notable strikers in the Ghana Premier League. He scored 21 goals in 52 matches in the Ghanaian top division.
The move to Saudi Arabia marks a new stage in Amoah’s career as he looks to continue his development and gain experience outside Ghana.
He was previously an important attacking player for Asante Kotoko. During the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, Amoah finished among the league’s top scorers. He also scored a hat-trick in Kotoko’s 3-2 win over Medeama on the final day of the campaign.
His goalscoring ability, strength and movement in the final third are expected to add more attacking power to Hajer as the club prepares for the new season.
Amoah said he was excited about joining Hajer and praised the development of football in Saudi Arabia.
“I am well aware of the development of football in Saudi Arabia, which has become followed all over the world.
“I am happy to be part of this league and I hope to achieve success with Hajer this season and help the team achieve victories,”
Amoah said.
The Ghanaian striker will now join his new teammates for pre-season preparations as he begins his first experience of Saudi Arabian football.
