Fancy Gadam boosts about his relevance

Mujahid Ahmed Bello known by his stage name Fancy Gadam, a Ghanaian artiste, has said he’s still hot cake in the music scene.

According to the ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker, he wouldn’t have been able to fill the Tamale sports stadium to full capacity if he was no more relevant.

He said in an interview on Property FM “I wouldn’t have filled the Tamale sports stadium to full capacity if I am not relevant in the Ghanaian music scene. So I’m still hot cake and have nothing to be afraid of that’s why I have released my recent album known as competition.”

In 2017, he won the Ghana Music Awards for Best New Artist and in 2020 was named Best Afrobeat Entertainer at the International Reggae and World Music Awards.

He continued “Currently you can stream my songs from Audiomack, Boomplay, Spotify, everywhere you want to stream you can get my songs there”.

Heavy Investment

He further called on the business community in Ghana to wake up and invest heavily in the music industry.

“Businessmen and women in Ghana need to wake up when it comes to our music industry because as I have been saying we need investors,” he stated.

He continued “We can equally do what the Nigerians have been doing but when we don’t have the backing like the funds. You need to invest so that the songs will be very big and that’s how you can get a lot of people supporting your music and get to listen to you.”

“When that happens we can also get the opportunity to fill the O2 Arena and so on so it’s the investment that Ghanaians are lacking that’s all,” he opined.

Next President

He again spoke about the potential to have the next president of Ghana from the North.

This comes after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) elected Vice President Dr. Bawumia as flagbearer whilst the National Democratic Congress (NDC) earlier settled on former president John Mahama.

Speaking on Property FM in Cape Coast, Fancy Gadam said as far as both candidates come from the North, they’ll support all of them.

He remarked “It feels good to have the next president coming from the North but it is almighty Allah that does whatever He wants. No man can question God so the only thing we have to do is wish everybody well-being a candidate for NPP or NDC. As far as President Mahama and Dr. Bawumia are all coming from the North we are going to support both of them”
