Fans Hail Derrick Köhn In Ghana vs. Germany Clash

Derrick Arthur Köhn impressed fans with a strong performance for the Black Stars despite their 2-1 loss to Germany national football team in an international friendly.

The Union Berlin defender received praise on social media after delivering an energetic display throughout the match. Goals from Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav secured victory for Germany, handing Ghana their second straight defeat in the March international window.

One X user, @theyawofosu commented, “Derrick Kohn. That’s how you play your way into the team. Brilliant assist.”

@OleleSalvador also said, “Derrick Kohn no, ɔyɛ sure paaa sɛ, bɔɔl yɛ ne calling? Cuzzzz….”

Köhn, 27, played the full match at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart. He contributed both in defence and attack, and assisted Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for Ghana’s equaliser in the 70th minute.

This was his third appearance for the national team, and his performance caught the attention of many Ghanaians online. He earned a rating of 7.1, making him the second-highest rated Ghanaian player, behind goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.
