Floods: GhanaPost, NADMO Partner to Rescue Victims

Following the recent rains and floods in certain parts of the country, GhanaPost has decided to partner the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to rescue victims.

A statement issued by the Corporate Communications unit of GhanaPost on Monday, 25 June, said: “Individuals are hereby encouraged to generate their respective location addresses in order to send either to a friend or NADMO in case of an emergency”.

The statement added that the “Meteorological Department has informed the general public that the rains would intensify in the coming days”, and “GhanaPost would like to inform the general public that identifiable groups, schools, churches and all other stakeholders can invite us to organise training on the activation of the system and the generation of the digital address”.

GhanaPost urged the public to visit its website www.ghanapost.com or follow them on Facebook @ghanapostgps or call 0579579100 for assistance.
