Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko calls for the arrest of Counselor Lutterodt

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has called on the Ghana Police Service to invite and interrogate relationship counselor, George Lutterodt over his comments on rape.

Social media went agog Thursday after a video of the controversial counsellor went viral, in which he insisted that rape victims enjoy the act. Even though another guest on the show disagreed with his position, George Lutterodt maintained his stance.

He was on Accra-based Adom TV where he said: “anytime the act begins, you’re not ready for it, but during the act you consent to it.”

Reacting to this in a facebook post, Gabby wrote: “May I suggest that the Police take immediate steps to “invite” Mr Lutterodt (and, please stop using the title Counsellor!) to interrogate him to provide further and better particulars as to how many of his victims enjoyed being raped, as he so claims?”.

Gabby Otchere-Darko joins a tall list of institutions and personalities to express their disdain by George Lutterodt’s statement.

They include Information Minister, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, actors Lydia Forson, Ama .K. Abebrese and Juliet Ibrahim, musicians E.L and Joey B among others.
