The Ghana Education Service (GES) has ordered the Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Joshua Vidzro to step aside from his duties with immediate effect.
The directive issued by the GES on December 6, 2025 comes after allegations of the Headmaster’s involvement in sexual misconducts with some female students of Dzodze-Penyi SHS.
The statement says his interdiction is deemed necessary in order to guarantee the integrity of the investigative process and to avoid any perceived interference of investigations.
Accordingly, he has been instructed to forthwith, formally hand over all official duties, responsibilities, records, and any property of the Dzodze-Penyi SHS presently under his custody to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North.
He is expected to vacate the premises of the school from Monday, December 8, 2025 after handing over.
Nonetheless, he must remain available at all material times to assist the authorities in the conduct of the investigation and refrain from any form of direct or indirect contact with the female students involved in the investigations and any potential witnesses.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this directive does not constitute a determination or presumption of guilt on your part, but is an administrative measure issued in furtherance of due process and institutional accountability,” the statement noted.
