The Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms Limited (Arise IIP) to support the development of an industrial zone aimed at boosting Ghana’s industrialisation drive.
The partnership forms part of GEXIM’s mandate to promote the establishment of industrial enclaves to accelerate value addition and export-led growth, particularly in key sectors such as garments and textiles, as well as other multi-industry activities.
Under the agreement, Arise IIP will serve as a strategic partner responsible for undertaking feasibility studies and providing technical support for the development of the proposed industrial zone project.
The initiative is expected to create a structured industrial ecosystem that will attract investment, enhance manufacturing capacity and strengthen Ghana’s position as a competitive export hub within the sub-region.
Speaking after the signing ceremony at GEXIM’s 10th anniversary international conference in Accra on Wednesday, March 26, Cluster Director of Arise IIP, Munish Gupta, expressed appreciation to GEXIM for the partnership.
“I would like to thank the bank for entering into this partnership. Arise is committed to the utilisation of data in this partnership. This collaboration will create jobs and we are very, very grateful for this,” he said.
