GFA Enhances On Its Communications Strategy

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has named Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe as their new head of Public Relations and Strategy.

A statement from the GFA said the appointment of the former Accra Hearts of Oak Managing Director “underscores the GFA’s commitment to enhancing engagement with stakeholders and the wider public.”

The FA said Mr. Armstrong Mortagbe will be responsible for reshaping the GFA’s engagement strategies and enhancing its public image.

As such, he will spearhead several strategic initiatives aimed at “rebuilding trust, fostering transparency, and strengthening relationships within the football community and beyond.”

The GFA also announced the appointments of Patrick Akoto and Tophic Abdul Kadir (Sheikh) as Senior Managers, Communications.

The appointment of the pair, the FA said, represents a strategic move to strengthen its communications capabilities and foster greater transparency and engagement with stakeholders.

Akoto has previously served as the Director of Communications for the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League champions Medeama and played several roles with the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and Ghanasoccernet.

Abdul Kadir has served as the General Manager of BYF Academy, now Nations FC, and has been involved in the work of the Division One League Board.
