Ghana don’t need Mike Oquaye as speaker, he’s a sick person – Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has rejected claims for Prof. Mike Oquaye to be retained as Speaker of Parliament in Ghana’s 8th Parliament. 

To him, the health statue of Prof. Mike Oquaye does not guarantee another term of office as Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament.

“We don’t need a speaker who you’ll have to carry into his car and out of his car. Let’s be serious. We don’t need a speaker who always needs an ambulance” – he said in Joy News interview ahead of the inauguration of the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
