The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in partnership with Africa Sponsors, has launched the FESTAC Tourism Festival 2025.
The week-long festival will be held from September 21 to 27, 2025, and aims to promote tourism, boost intra-African trade, and celebrate Africa’s rich cultural heritage.
Speaking at the launch, Chairman of FESTAC Africa 2025, Mr. Yinka Ahioye, stressed the importance of cultural unity and economic cooperation among African nations. He explained that this year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity,” encourages Africans to embrace their unique cultural identities while working together for sustainable development.
Mr. Ahioye revealed that the festival will feature a variety of activities, including cultural exhibitions, music concerts, art and fashion showcases, as well as business forums. These events, he said, are designed to strengthen cultural and commercial ties across the continent.
Representing the CEO of the GTA, Deputy CEO Mr. Abeku Santana reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to promoting its culture on the global stage. He highlighted the government’s commitment to making Ghana the cultural heartbeat of Africa and to using platforms like FESTAC to attract more international visitors.
“FESTAC 2025 will run from the 21st to the 27th of September and will highlight Ghana’s role as a leader in promoting African heritage and unity,” Mr. Santana said.
Organizers expect the festival to draw participants and visitors from across Africa and the diaspora, making Ghana the center of a major celebration of art, culture, identity, and collaboration.
