Ghana Names 26-Man Squad for 2026 World Cup

Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has announced his final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, confirming key changes to the team selection.

Goalkeepers Paul Reverson and Solomon Agbasi have been left out of the original 28-man provisional squad as the coach finalised his tournament group. In defence, vice-captain Alexander Djiku has been ruled out due to injury and has been replaced by Derrick Luckassen.

The squad includes three goalkeepers: Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Joseph Anang, who will compete for the number one position during the tournament.

In defence, Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Marvin Senaya, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Preprah, and Derrick Luckassen have all been selected to strengthen the back line.

The midfield department features Thomas Partey, Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Augustine Boakye, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Kamaldeen Sulemana, providing creativity and balance in the centre of the pitch.

In attack, Queiroz has named Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Ernest Nuamah, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Prince Kwabena Adu to lead Ghana’s scoring hopes at the tournament.

Ghana will depend on this balanced squad as they prepare for the global showpiece, aiming to make a strong impact at the 2026 World Cup.
