An Accra-based Christian leader, Prophet Elbernard Nelson-Eshun , the General Overseer of Spirit Life Revival Ministries has put out a public apology for having delivered a prophetic message from God which did not materialize.
The messenger of God, prior to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer elections, had put out a prophetic message and made it clear that he had a message from God to tell Ghanaians that one of the contenders, Kennedy Agyapong, would emerge as winner.
Prophet Elbernard Nelson-Eshun insisted the message from God regarding the victory of Kennedy Agyapong was unconditional, non-negotiable and not appealable; a definite message bond to happen to the glory of God.
It turned out after the said flag-bearer race that former Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia, a non-Christian won. Dr. Bawumia won with a commanding 56.48% of the total valid votes cast.
Kennedy Agyapong, the one God told Prophet Elbernard Nelson-Eshun would win has since accepted his loss, conceded defeat and congratulated Dr. Bawumia.
Prophet Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, after the elections did not explain whether God after sending him with the message, decided to do something else or whether changed he, the messenger forged a message from God when God had not sent him with any message.
The prophet simply offered a public apology, on his own behalf, leaving many Christians confused on whether God really spoke.
His apology on Facebook read:
“I wish to address the inaccurate prophetic declarations I made concerning the New Patriotic Party presidential primaries. 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤, 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬, 𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐎𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲.

“I am grateful to those who have corrected me and are correcting me in love and to those who continue to pray for me.”
A day after the public apology, this was what Prophet Elbernard Nelson-Eshun told his congregation: ““I can’t influence and determine how you respond and react, but I want you to understand that I’m still here. I am not going to ask you to stay here, neither am I asking you to leave.”
