Hearts of Oak Re-signs Aboubakar Ouattara as Special Advisor

Ghana Premier League Giants Hearts of Oak have given a new role to their former head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the club announced that Ouattara has now been appointed as Special Advisor to the Board of Directors.

This comes just days after the club confirmed Didi Dramani as the new head coach of the Phobians, officially ending Ouattara’s time on the sidelines.

Ouattara, who joined the club in February 2023, helped Hearts to finish in the top four in the 2024/25 season. In his debut season, he managed to keep the team in the league after they finished 14th and narrowly avoided relegation.

Now in his new position, Ouattara will work closely with the Board of Directors on special tasks and projects aimed at strengthening the club.

The management praised his contribution and is hopeful that his experience will continue to benefit Hearts of Oak.
