I Did No Wrong To Stonebwoy – Kelvyn Boy

AFROBEATS artiste Kelvyn Boy who was recently released from the Burniton Music Group owned by Stonebwoy, says he still does not know what he did wrong to fall out of favour with his former boss and to be kicked off the label.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Kelvyn Boy said, “As it stands now, I don’t know what I did wrong. Stonebwoy is my godfather, I was even a fan even before I met Stonebwoy, he has been a mentor and my greatest hero and he will forever remain my greatest hero and my mentor. I will appreciate whatever he did for me and I thought I’ve been grateful over these years.

“I have always been loyal to the Bhim Nation brand everywhere I go and everyone knows the good things I say about my boss. I granted an interview where I said no Ghanaian musician does pure Dancehall and if how I answered the question was wrong I am using this opportunity to say I am sorry.”

Since Stonebwoy unfollowed Kelvyn Boy on Instagram for being ‘ungrateful’, many questions had been asked about happenings in the BHIM Nation camp.

Reacting to the ‘ungrateful’ tag, Kelvyn Boy said he was surprised when he heard people describing him as such.

According to him, he sent Stonebwoy a message to deflate his mentor’s assertion. He revealed that he texted Stonebwoy to tell him that he is tarnishing his image.

Expressing some of his frustrations at the label, the artiste born Kelvin Brown, alleged that his label does not know where he lives till date.

The Loko singer further urged everyone to respect the decision of the Burniton Music Group to release him from his contract.

“Right now the decision has been taken and I would want everyone to respect the Burniton Music Group. They know what is right but I want Ghanaians to know that I am a huge fan of Stonebwoy and I will continue to love him,” he added.

Kelvyn Boy also cleared the air that he was trying to rub shoulders with Stonebwoy and had become disrespectful.

“I am just starting my career and I will never rub shoulders with Stonebwoy. In fact my exit has shown that I was really doing a good job. Some artistes get signed and relax but I have been working,” he indicated.

Kelvyn Boy is known for songs like Na You, Mea, Toffee, Nana Ama, Holiday, Ginger, Loko, Afrobeats, My Story, Anything and No War.
