I support Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale Ban – Fred Kyei Mensah

One of Ghana’s greatest sound engineers, Fred Kyei Mensah who is popularly known as Fredyma has waded into the ever trending Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale issue after the VGMA board, led by Mrs Theresa Ayaode banned the pair indefinitely from the award scheme few hours ago in a press conference.

The legend music producer and entertainment critic believes the decision made by the board members of the VGMA is the best upon reflection.

”I support the ban. I am in full support of whatever punishment imposed on the two musicians by CharterHouse. This the right time to help laws work in the country. Their actions on the night was bad. Young musicians are learning from them which they shouldn’t have portrayed that action” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review Show.

According to Fredyma, if Stonebwoy had exercised a bit of patience on the night, he would have been hailed by many aftermath of the event.

Ban Indefinitely

However, Charterhouse has banned the two rivalries indefinitely from participating in all aspects of the country’s foremost music award scheme, the Vodafone Music Awards (VGMAs).

The two Reggae Dancehall artistes have also been stripped off all awards they won at the 20th VGMAs.

This decision was taken by the Board of the award scheme following a brawl between the two feuding musicians at the 20th anniversary of the VGMAs in Accra last Saturday.
